And whether we’re hosting or attending, we inevitably need to whip up a summer-friendly dish — we’re partial to seafood, of course — and it needs to be a moveable feast: We’re talking grab-and-go! What’s a Seafoodie to do?
No worries, you’ve got this! We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite seafood recipes that are ideal for these late-summer shindigs — hot-weather bites that work well for kiddo snacks, too. So, whether you’re en route to the pool or a garden party, you’ll have a healthy-eats option to share. Shrimp, salmon, crab, white fish and even lobster all make surprisingly quick summer fare. Plus, many of these dishes are make-ahead meals, which means you can prep the night before (or earlier the day of) and waltz out the door with gourmet goods in hand.
Let’s start with finger food. Vietnamese spring rolls with shrimp are a warm-weather treat, and you’ll never believe how easy it is to make them at home.
